Final Exam

waktu itu temenku, veronika dari russia dateng ke indonesia untuk ikut program ngajar bahasa untuk sma di sekolah padang. pas aku anter dia pulang ke bandara, dia kasih surat ke aku, dia tulis di kertas soal ujian yang dia buat untuk muridnya. ada empat soal bahasa inggris. katanya aku disuruh kerjain juga, nanti kirim ke russia biar bisa dia nilai.

nah, sekarang aku mau coba jawab soal yang dikasih dia. aku akan jawab sesukanya-semaunya juga gak nyambung dan berhubung bahasa inggrisku jelek, jadi maklumi aja.

where and what do you want to study? why? 

i don't have any specific place where i want to study. i'm already here and there, i got lesson in everywhere because like the old man said: "let the universe be your school also your class and the teachers must be everybody and everything around you, because life is our education". look for isaac newton who discovered gravity after he saw apple fall from a tree and archimedes, the greatest mathematician that when he got into the bathtub then he realized that the amount of water that overflowed the tub was proportional to the amount of his body that was submerged as known as 'the archimedes principle'. i mean, no matter where you study, just don't let your eyes closed of everything around.

where do you want to work? in what city or country?

ah, i have read a book by charles bukowski, it said: "how in the hell could a person enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the oportunity to do so?" in the end, i will work because i love to, not because i have to.

do you want to make a family? when would you like to get married? how many childern do you want to have? what will your house be like?

im sure that you heard about the big bang theory. about 14 billion years ago, a huge explosion took place, forming our universe and this caused all of particles to spread out. every atom in your body came from that stars which exploded. so, we are all stardust. we couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded, because the elements and all the things that matter of evolution and for life. so, it means we are the childern of the stars. so, all the human in this world is familly, isn't it? then why i have to make another one? do you mind if i give an advice? please take a few time just to see our familly album (from 14 billion years ago, when the big bang just begun) , you're gonna see the pictures of our birth and realize we are all related. you are a (probably distant) cousin of the queen of england, and of the revolutionary che guevara, and of me. you and i are cousins of each other.

and the house would be like a blue marble. because some people love to swim, we made a huge pool called "the sea". and the biggest farm and garden to let the flowers grow called "the forest". and dont miss the pillar (poles) which is covered with ice to make the house solid and strong. the important is the interior, with a solid iron inner core that generates the magnetic field. so, we can run freely not floating on it, of course the gravity let us falling in love too! then, i really hate to make the house which cant be moved, so we made it like the house is spinning around, so we can see the sun is rising or even setting. unfortunately, since the house created, we have never made a contact with our neighbors, even the nearest (andromeda galaxy), who lived two million light-years from us. maybe our technology is far behind from them or maybe we just too arrogant and ignorant.

what is your biggest dream? what do you want to do or become in your life?

whatever i dream about, one thing for sure that i have to be asleep to make them come true.
